Policy Overview: At The Pegaesus Group, protecting our users’ privacy and security is among our top priorities. For this reason, we have adopted the following policy to advise you of your choices regarding the use of your personal information online. This policy describes what types of information we gather, how it is used, and under what circumstances we disclose your data to third-parties, and your rights to update or correct it.
Scope of Policy:
This Policy applies to The Pegaesus Group sites (www.pegaesusgroup.com, pegaeusgroup.sslpowered.com, www.pegaesus.com). It does not apply to other companies’ or organizations’ web sites to which we link or are linked to from. We gather certain generic information with respect to users’ use of our web site, such as the number of unique visitors, the frequency with which they visit, and the areas on the web site that they access. This statistical data that is gathered does not contain any personally identifiable information about you or any of our users.
Use of Cookies:
We use cookies for specific areas of this site only and they are only used by us. We do not use or supply any third-party cookies of any kind. Cookies are pieces of information or data sent to your browser from our web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive for session and access purposes. These cookie will only remain on your hard drive while your session is active and will be deleted automatically when you log out or in a predetermined amount of time. (Default is 3 hours.) It is important to note that certain areas of our web site will require you to accept cookies for (Human Resources) administration use.
IP Addresses
We collect and analyze traffic on our web site by keeping track of the IP addresses of our users that have Participant and/or Human resources administrative access. IP addresses are unique numeric identifiers that are assigned to each computer browser accessing the Internet. An IP address, by itself, cannot identify you personally. However, when combined with other information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your IP address can be used to identify the computer originating the action. We only keep IP addresses for the use of security and to potentially identify malicious behavior by unauthorized users.
Mandatory Communications
The Pegaesus Group reserves the right to communicate with you from time to time about important administrative, policy, or legal matters which will affect your use of our web sites, including without limitation any alleged violations of our Terms and Conditions of Use. These communications are mandatory.
Disclosure of Your Information:
The Pegaesus Group reserves the right to disclose your information to the parties necessary for administration of your account and participation in your respective plan. Under no circumstances is your personal information provided to any person or company outside the scope of plan administration. You personal information is not used for the purposes of advertising or any other marketing application.
Disclosure Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above policies, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information to appropriate third-parties if we are required to do so by law or we believe that such action is necessary:
- To comply with legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order;
- To protect the company’s rights and property;
- To investigate reports of users sending material using a false e-mail address or users sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages;
- To protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our web site and/or the The Pegaesus Group services.
Your IP address and Hostname is logged by your attempts to login or access specific areas of this site. Under certain circumstances, legal representatives, and/or law enforcement authorities may be able to combine this with information disclosed by ISPs to determine the originating source. By using this site, you knowingly and voluntarily assume any risks associated with such disclosure.
Control of your Personal Information: At any time, a qualified participant can access and change any of their personal information that we keep on file that is allowable within the confines of the data needed for your participation in the plan. For example: once your status has been changed to ‘Terminated’ and your are still participating in the plan you are not able to change your employment status, however you are able to change your employment status to ‘Terminated’ if you are currently active within your particular plan.
Data Security:
When you access any Plan Specific areas of our website all data is transmitted by way of an advanced 128-bit encryption technology known as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to prevent access and transfer of your data to unauthorized parties. While on a secure page, such as our enrollment, change and/or distribution forms, as well as all pages accessed from within your plan, a lock or key icon (
) appears on the bottom of your web browser’s status bar. We have taken all reasonable steps to protect and maintain your personal data both on and off line. the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment and are operated from a dedicated Internet hosting facility with state-of-the-art physical security features, including smoke detection and fire suppression systems, 24×7 secured access, as well as video surveillance and security breach alarms.
Changes to the Privacy Policy:
The Pegaesus Group will occasionally update this Privacy Policy in response to changing business circumstances and legal developments. When The Pegaesus Group posts changes to this Policy, the date of the last update will appear at the top of this page. If there are material changes to this Policy or in how The Pegaesus Group uses your personally identifiable information, The Pegaesus Group will prominently post such changes within this document. The Pegaesus Group encourages you to periodically review this Policy to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
Using Common Sense in Online Activities:
Sometimes the best way to prevent any potential malicious activity is to protect yourself. We recommend that you do not keep your account infomormation where it is available to others. Always use the “Logout” link in protected areas (Participant and Human Resources) to close and end your sessions, especially if you are using a public or community computer.
